  • Understanding History Through Appearance: An Analysis of a Black Woman in the Nineteenth Century Based on the Adventures of Mary Seacole. A traveling exhibit on the life of Mary Seacole and the social psychological aspects of her appearance.
  • African American Appearance in Slave Narratives. A study of appearance references in published slave narratives written by women and men.
  • Fiber & Wearable Art Inspired by African American Male & Female Slave Narratives. Machine knitted and embroidered garments reflective of research on African American Slave Appearance.
