Student Apparel Design Show
The annual Design & Merchandising student apparel design show showcases the work of Apparel Design & Production students in the senior capstone class, AM 446 - Apparel Design & Production. Each student in the class designs and produces a line of apparel for a specified target marget. The process involves the use of computer-aided design technology for: market research, concept development, technical drawings, textile designs, first/production patterns, production samples, specification sheets/production guides, costing, and computerized presentation of all work. Final presentations of student work are judged for inclusion in the show and award winners are selected by industry professionals. The show is produced by students taught by Dr.Eulanda Sanders. The students meet weekly during the spring semester to complete committee work for promotions, hospitality, stage design, garment, modeling, and facilities to produce the show.
