Work Study Positions

There are three kinds of student employment in the Department of Design and Merchandising: Merit Workstudy, Need-based Workstudy, and Student Hourly.

Merit Workstudy
Merit workstudy applications are generally completed in February for work the following Fall semester. The key to merit workstudy positions is that job responsibilities must relate to a student's career goals. Applications are completed by the student and department offering the job. Once an application is approved money is awarded on a first come, first serve basis.

Need-based Workstudy
Need-based workstudy jobs require financial aid awards processed by CSU Financial Aid. Persons who have need based workstudy awards need to bring a copy of their award letter to Design and Merchandising.

Student Hourly
Students who do not have Merit Workstudy awards nor Need-based awards can still work for the department as Student Hourly assistants. There are not many student hourly postions available
