Mission Statement
The Fashion Group International is a global non-profit professional organization established in 1931, with over 6,000 members in the fashion industry and related fields. The goals of the organization are: |
To advance professionalism in fashion and its related lifestyle industries, with a particular emphasis on the role and development of women. |
To encourage women to seek career opportunities in fashion and related industries. |
To provide a public forum for examination of important contemporary issues in fashion and the business of fashion. |
To provide activities and programs that enhance networking skills and encourage interpersonal contacts so as to further the professional, social and personal development of members. |
To present timely information regarding national and global trends that have an effect on the fashion industries. |
To administer the activities of The Fashion Group International Foundation |
To attain greater recognition of women's achievements in business.

Colorado State University students belong to the Denver Region Chapter and participate in a variety activities such as Career Days, networking, informational seminars, spring and fall fashion presentation, community outreach programs and fashion shows.
