Mission Statement
The Fashion Group International is a global non-profit professional organization established in 1931, with over 6,000 members in the fashion industry and related fields. The goals of the organization are:

To advance professionalism in fashion and its related lifestyle industries, with a particular emphasis on the role and development of women.

To encourage women to seek career opportunities in fashion and related industries.
To provide a public forum for examination of important contemporary issues in fashion and the business of fashion.

To provide activities and programs that enhance networking skills and encourage interpersonal contacts so as to further the professional, social and personal development of members.

To present timely information regarding national and global trends that have an effect on the fashion industries.
To administer the activities of The Fashion Group International Foundation
To attain greater recognition of women's achievements in business.

Colorado State University students belong to the Denver Region Chapter and participate in a variety activities such as Career Days, networking, informational seminars, spring and fall fashion presentation, community outreach programs and fashion shows.
