Internships
Internships are required for Apparel and Merchandising majors and are encouraged after the junior year.
The AM major enjoys extensive internship support from business and industry through the US and in Europe. Over 270 companies representing diverse businesses have hired AM students as interns or for permanent placement. While international internships are possible, most are in the U.S., and most are full-time, paid experiences. Nearly 90% of Apparel and Merchandising students participate in paid internships annually. A majority of the interns are offered entry level jobs from their cooperating company. It has become very competitive for these firms to select the intern of their choice. Interns assist businesses in problem solving on the job through rigorous, competitive internships.
