Apparel Design

Students interested in studying Apparel Design and Production gain the knowledge and understanding of pattern development and garment construction, computer-aided design, fashion illustration and sketching, and understand textile finishes and analysis related to care and design selection. The Merchandising concentration is a business based discipline providing students with the the knowledge and understanding of promotion, distribution, retailing and consumer behavior. |

A minor in Merchandising provides students in other majors an opportunity to expand their knowledge of merchandising. This minor may be of special interest to students majoring in areas such as art and business. The perspectives gleaned by students selecting a merchandising minor enhance understanding in the student's major program of study and expand career opportunities available to the student. |
