ach spring the Department of Design and Merchandising presents a student apparel design show to highlight the work of seniors in the Apparel Design & Production (ADP) concentration. For the students, the show represents the culmination of four years of study, which includes building a strong foundation in market research, textile and garment design, pattern and sample production, costing, and sales presentation; mastery of LECTRA, the leading computer-aided design software; and invaluable industry experience obtained through study tours and professional internships. For the Department, the show is an opportunity to promote student achievement in the field of apparel design to the CSU and Fort Collins communities. At each show, awards are presented to recognize individual student achievement. The show is developed and implemented through the collaborative efforts of students in the Apparel and Merchandising Program, who gain expertise in event planning and promotion from this unique experience.
